Spend a day learning the art of weaving with willow, making a round basket suitable for fruit or foraging berries. Tess will guide you through the steps, learning the ‘stake and strand’ method of basketry. You will learn about the different varieties of willow, how to soak and prepare the materials, and several different weave patterns. If time we will add a handle. A relaxing day being introduced to this ancient craft using sustainable, locally grown materials.
